Este trabajo fue realizado como parte de la cursada del seminario “!Ante la imagen. Arte, política e historia en fotografías y otros dispositivos visuales” de la docente Natalia Fortuny, correspondiente al Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Tuvo como objetivo el análisis de una fotografía publicada en la tapa del diario Clarín el día 21 de octubre de 1985. La imagen corresponde a una protesta realizada por un grupo de vecinos por las demoras que presentaban las obras de regulación de las aguas del Río Reconquista. Se vinculó la fotografía con otras, se hicieron preguntas y se reconstruyeron las razones de la protesta. Desde el año 1959 habitantes afectados por inundaciones reclamaban la rectificación y canalización del río, además de la construcción del actual Dique Roggero. Este escrito permitirá reflexionar sobre las dificultades de la
 
representación en la prensa ya que abre el interrogante sobre los límites de lo intolerable del conurbano bonaerense en los medios masivos de comunicación.

This work was carried out as part of thes eminar course "In frontoftheimage. Art, politics and history in photografs and other visual devices", of the teacher Natalia Fortuny, corresponding to the Doctorate in Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires. Its objective was to analyse a photograph published on the cover of the  news paper on October 21, 1985. The image corresponds to a protest carried out by a group of neigh borsdue to the delays in the Works to regulate the waters of the Reconquest River. The photograph was linked too thers, questions were asked and there asons of the protest were reconstructed. Since 1959, inhabitant saffected by floods demanded the rectification and canalization of the river, in addition of the construction of the current Roggero dam. This text will allow us to reflecton the difficulties of the representation in the press. It opens the question about the limits of the intolerable of the Buenos Aires suburbs in the mass media.
