| RESUMEN: El Síndrome de quemarse en el trabajo(SQT) es un síndrome psicosocial que presentan los trabajadores de la salud (pediatras) y que compromete la atención, y el cuidado que ellos dispensan a los otros. Sus manifestaciones son el agotamiento emocional, la baja realización personal en el trabajo y la despersonalización. Este estudio de tipo transversal, descriptivo, observacional. Tiene como objetivo estudiar la prevalencia del SQT en pediatras de los hospitales generales del sur del Conurbano Bonaerense y sus variables antecedentes y consecuentes, consideradas epidemilogicamente de riesgo. Conforma el avance de la tesis doctoral de la autora. |

| ABSTRACT: Burnout is a psycho-social syndrome which presents in individuals whose work involves the attention and care of others. Key manifestations are an intense feeling of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal achievement. Is a cross-sectional study was designed to study the prevalence of this disease in Pediatricians of General Hospital in the south of the conurbano bonaerense and to provide some epidemiological variables of risk. Actually, this question is important because affects psychological well-being in staff members, quality of care and treatment provided to patients and finally may have a strong influence on administrative functioning of health services. It is important to consider and evaluate the existence of this syndrome in health care workers. The article is a fisrt communication in relation with the Doctoral Thesis of the author. |
